Sunday Post #8: A Week Full of Books

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

I haven’t said this in awhile but I’m glad this week is over. Besides feeling a little sick earlier this week and everything else that’s been going on, I’m ready to start all over. The good news is that I got a lot of reading done thanks to #HoHoHoRat and I’ve been doing the fun challenges throughout the week. I’ve updated my post with additions of books to my own challenge and the books that I’ve already finished. Check that out here.

Oh and so much for me not accepting any more review copies for the rest of the year. Well, I just couldn’t help myself, so don’t judge! 🙂

Yeah, not accepting ARCs is something I’d like to be able to do, but I’m completely incapable of seeing that through. Because I love reading books by my favorite authors before everyone else 😀
I hope you’re feeling better this week! Have a wonderful Wednesday and happy reading.

Sorry that you haven’t been feeling well either :-/ Feel better! I’m glad you’re at least having fun with the readathon 🙂 And haha, I was trying to not request any more before the year ended either, but I screwed that up this week too. But three of the books I got were Christmas-themed so… I’m excusing myself for that 😛

Sorry to hear your week wasn’t too goo, i hope you’re feeling better! I hope you;re enjoying the readathon, I haven’t participated myself, but have seen the readathon on a few other blogs. Nice haul! I am picky when it comes to accepting review request, but end up with a few new ones every week anyway. Have a great week!

The best of intentions don’t seem to stop me from buying or accepting books. Sigh. But….it’s all good, right? What we don’t read now will be a comfort to us later.

I’m glad the week is over, too, and wish we could just stay in this period between now and Jan. 20, enjoying what we’ve had….

Have a great week! Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

YAY for read-a-thons to really get a lot of reading done!!! Only bad thing is all the reviewing you have to do afterwards but oh well 🙂 Outstanding book haul this week. I’m so jealous that you get books in the mail!!! Isn’t it always an awesome surprise?

Here’s to the clean-slate, do over next week!!! Have an awesome one!!!

I’ve never been able to follow through with not accepting new review copies — it is a sickness. I hope this week is better than the last.

I LOVE the cover on The Sun is Also a Star – and fully understand your wish to get engrossed in a sweet, enjoyable book! Have a great week:).

I love those Harlequin Christmas books. They are right up there with Hallmark Christmas movies. I can’t get enough of the sappy stuff, especially this year. I hope that you enjoy your stash.
