Sunday Post #11: Feeling Somewhat Blah This Week

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Really not much going on this week. I didn’t read too much, just finished one book and started a new one yesterday. Want to take my time and not rush for the rest of the year. I have one ARC due this month and I’ve got to start on a couple of others for next month. So much for not accepting anymore. LOL.

The weather is wet, cold, and dreary; perfect for some hot tea and shortbread cookies. I found these cute chocolate Scottie Dogs shortbread cookies by Walkers and they are yum. They totally cheer me up.

I got some Christmas shopping done, but I’m still lagging. I really haven’t been excited this year. Decorations are up, so at least there are some festive aspect in my life :D.

LOL we pretty much had the same week and there may be a box of those pup cookies in the kitchen. Maybe. Ha! Hope the dreary bits pass soon!

Ooh Highland Spy looks fun! And that usually happens to me too, no more arcs, yet somehow I end requesting/getting a bunch anyways, haha.
Have a lovely week (:

I haven’t even started decorating yet so you are ahead of me! lol Have a great week.

I laughed about not accepting new arcs. I am trying to limit them next year and already have a dozen or more..*hangs head* I cannot help it, they send me these lists and I just browse and bam… Since I met my goal for the year I am reading 2 of mine and then 1 ARC for December. Have a wonderful week!

I had a slow reading week as well. I think I had a book I wasn’t enjoying and fell into a funk.

It’s summer here but still a good weather for hunkering down and eating exciting food. Like chocolate. And brownies! 😉

I like using the end of the year for stress free reading too, but damn it, I still have ARCs to read this year lol. Fun giveaway idea!

Ah the tea and cookies sound pretty good. It’s snowing here so yeah… could use a little refreshment. 🙂 Any excuse really. I didn’t read much this week either.

Hope you have a great week to come!

I had a pretty good reading week for a chance, but I just had a few reading weeks with only one or no books finished. I love shortbread cookies! It sure is the right weather to curl up on the couch with a good book, a warm drink and something yummy to eat. I’ll have to go and draft my 2017 new release challenge goal post soon. I enjoyed participating in that challenge the previous years and am excited to join again. Have a great week!

I am hoping to concentrate now on some ARCs with January release dates. Until now, nothing was coming up…so I could focus on the books I’d purchased.

Taking it easy is a good way to approach the holidays. Enjoy! Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
