Sunday Post #16: No Resolutions For Me

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

So how many of you are recovering from the holidays? It’s always hard to get back into routine, especially if you’ve been gorging on sweets (*ahem* like me). I’m not one for making New Year’s resolutions, but I do make a more conscience effort to eat healthy and start excising again. Now, if only I can muster up some get-up-and-go.

It’s cold here in Texas. I don’t get to say that too often, but dang my bones can certainly feel it! I yearn to see snow, but then again, maybe not.

I had a good reading week, so yay me. Back to the old grind, but I love what I do.

Currently Reading

I was offered a review copy from the publisher and it seemed interesting. However, this might end up being a 3 star read for me.

None this week.

I don’t do resolutions either, but getting back into healthy habits is just always a good way to start the new year after all the sweets and treats of the holidays! Glad your reading is off to a good start 🙂 Don’t get too cold over there!

I don’t really make new year’s resolutions either. I keep things in my that I want to accomplish or work on but I don’t consider them resolutions. My boss was in central TX for a wedding over the weekend and said it was *so cold.* And it was an outdoor wedding! Crazy. We had a blast of cold weather here in NE FL but it’s already warming up again.

I don’t really have set resolutions, but I do have things I want to work toward this year so I went with a word for the year: Perseverance. 🙂

No snow here on the Gulf Coast but plenty of freezing temps. Yikes! I moved here to get away from all that. LOL Welcome back. Looks like you have some great new books to start the new year right:)

I’ve definitely been overdoing the sweets and unhealthy food, and have skipped exercise so need to get into a routine again. I was back at work last week but only for two days so can’t complain too much.

I’m hoping this week brings more discipline (re food and exercise)!

I have all the snow you need ha ha! We don’t have a TON but there’s enough to make everything slippery… and it’s cold so it’s not melting soon. And I don’t do resolutions either generally but after the holiday feasting yeah eating healthier is probably a good one. 🙂

Oh final Exit is on my TBR! I will have to check out your review. I always tell myself I will be more health conscious each year. But then, chocolate happens. Yeah… sigh…
Have a great week!

We are trying to be more conscious of what we eat and moving is hard when the temps aren’t even double digits. Good luck to you. Riverman had me curious!

Ooh, The Riverman looks tempting…I love books about detectives, especially the British kind. I also love the cover of Light the Lamp…a perfect book for your Lampshade Reading…LOL.

Enjoy! Thanks for sharing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
