A Kiss Under the Christmas Lights
With Christmas just a few weeks away, Gia San Valentino, the baby in her large, loud, and loving Italian family, yearns for a life and home of her own with a husband and bambini she can love and spoil. The single scene doesn’t interest her, and the men her well-meaning family introduce her to aren’t exactly the happily-ever-after kind.
Tim Santini believes he’s finally found the woman for him, but Gia will take some convincing she’s that girl. A misunderstanding has her thinking he’s something he’s not.
Can a kiss stolen under the Christmas lights persuade her to spend the rest of her life with him?
A Kiss Under the Christmas Lights will make you laugh out loud. Endearing characters and a boisterous Italian family make this a read that I will remember.
Did I mention laugh out loud?
“His ill-fitting dentures had a habit of slipping out of his mouth when he yawned, which he did often and at inappropriate times, like during the blessings at funeral masses and weddings.”
I loved Gia. Her inner monologue was hilarious. It was written in a way as if she were talking to the reader. Which I quite enjoyed. Her Italian family, who are religious but not overly so, seemed real and dare I say, down to earth? I could totally hang out with them.
The part that keeps this story going is her attraction to someone off limits…or so she thinks. Mistaken identities is what really happens and it kept me entertained throughout. Although it was a short read, it was full of substance. I really did not want it to end. Family themes, and a sweet romance is what you can expect from this story. Oh and did I mention the food as well? Also expect to get hungry for Italian food as well.
A little note…
This is a series, but you really don’t have to read them in order. Characters like her sister Chloe from 3 Wishes do show up in this one, but Gia is the focal point.
