Sunday Post #19: Crabapples and Birds

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Well, it’s cold again over here and nature is a bit confused. My crabapple tree is blooming. It’s really pretty though, there are little pretty pink petals on bare branches. Kind of looks like cherry blossoms.

Fun fact: I love birds. Every year around this time, the yellow finches are abundant. It started with one yellow finch on our bird feeder (I think it was a scout) and now there are over a dozen or so! I just think they are so cute, even though they clean out the feeder every day. They don’t stick around all year, just until spring. So, it’s a special treat.

Oh my gosh. How pretty! Mother Nature is having hot flashes here, too. Our plants are so confused. We had 25 low earlier this week. Tomorrow our high is 80. Ha!

So pretty! And thanks for the reminder to fill my bird feeder!

Gorgeous photo of your tree! It’s so unseasonably warm here that everything is blooming and pollen is *everywhere.* So I’ve had to double up on my allergy meds and stay indoors as much as possible. Ugh.
Hope you have a great week! 🙂

I can’t believe your crabapple is blooming!! I love those trees! We have a weeping crabapple that is almost taller than the house and I love when it blooms 🙂 And don’t get me started on the finches – they are cute, though!!

I haven’t read Carolyn Brown but she is everywhere!! That’s awesome you won an autographed book of hers!!! Have a great week 🙂

The weather has been rather confused lately. That tree is gorgeous though! And that’s awesome about the birds. Have a great week 🙂

Nice pic! Looks lovely. And the birds- that’s neat.

Love the sound of your cover feature.

I love those blossoms! Unfortunately, most blooms out there activate my allergies. Who am I kidding? Everything seems to do that. LOL.

Enjoy those books…I’ve been meaning to read Carolyn Brown.
