Comparing Covers #7: Interview With the Vampire

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Comparing Covers is a new feature on Lampshade Reader. I will showcase a book title that has multiple covers; from first editions, re-releases, and international releases.

I’ve never actually read Interview With the Vampire by Anne Rice, but I absolutely love the movie. I didn’t know the book was originally released in 1976 and I’m kind of glad they didn’t make the movie back then, because going off of their choice of cover would have been super cheesy.

I kind of want to read this series, if I could ever find the time to do so.

So, I’m kinda crushing on the Portuguese covers…

I never knew there were so many differenct covers. I heard good things about the book, but I never got around to reading it.

Oh wow, I didn’t even know all these covers existed! I have most of the series, and all my covers are so ugly lol. I agree, I’m loving that first Portuguese cover. My second favorite would be the 2003 one, I like the font. I’ve actually been meaning to reread Interview since it’s been like… 11 or so years since I’ve read it. I tried rereading it a few years ago and kind of got sidetracked and never finished. There’s a lot of description. But maybe I’ll finally do it in October around Halloween!
