Sunday Post #26: A Great Movie and Reading Goals

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!

sunday-post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

I finally got to see Beauty and the Beast on Friday. It brought all the nostalgia from the cartoon, but added some new experiences. There was new music and slight deviations of the storyline from the original cartoon. The graphics were beautiful and it was an overall great movie.

I wasn’t able to read as much as I wanted to this week. I  finished one book, but not much else. Good news for me is that I finished all my March reads and I can start early on the books due in April. A book blogger’s work is never done! LOL. On that note, I definitely want to make a goal of reading at least 1 book from my TBR list each month.

A great mail week for me. I received 2 gifted books from Kelly Moran and books from subscriptions.

Review Copies/ARCs

Thanks Edelweiss and Harper Collins! I was super excited to see the “read now” on this title.

That Shalvis book looks perfect for my spring read list. I’ve been reading some y Christine Nolfi and they write similar stories. Isn’t it fun to be ahead in your reading so you can grab one of those books that has been making eyes at you. LOL

I’m glad to hear that you loved Beauty and the Beast. I did too!! It was a really good film – and I liked the added music. I’m still getting through March ARCS but I’m almost through them! haha

I am curious about the new Beauty and the Beast for sure. I probably won’t rush out any time soon to see it though.
Have a good week and enjoy your books!

I’ve only ever seen the animated Beauty & the Beast and while I’m not dying to see it, I am curious how a live action version would look , especially if they’ve made some changes. It certainly looks good!
