Comparing Covers #9: The Secret History of the Pink Carnation

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Welcome to Comparing Covers where I will showcase a book title that has multiple covers; from first editions, re-releases, and international releases.

I absolutely love The Secret History of the Pink Carnation by Lauren Willig. It’s a combo of Historical Fiction and romance. And there are spies. What more can you really ask for? This is book one in the series Pink Carnation, with a total of 12 books! I would suggest reading them from the beginning. Here is the Goodreads Series page.

I have the 2006 edition and I still think that one is my favorite.

I actually like the 2010 which surprised the heck out of me.

I think I like the 2010 one the most, it looks very pretty! It’s nice how that pink flower is both on that one and the 2006 version.

I think the Turkish cover is kind of cool. I voted for 2006 though because I LOVE how they have the title, etc.

This is one of the few times where I actually like most of the covers! Usually I have a clear favorite but most of these are quite nice. The 2010 cover is the most eye-catching to me, though.

They’re all nice but I like the 2010 the most. I think I have one of hers on my selves somewhere but haven’t read her yet. Hopefully I’ll find it during the remodel!

I’ve never heard of this, but I agree that the 2006 is my favorite. And like Melissa said, it kind of bothers me that the UK-1 doesn’t have any pink on it lol.
