Lady Mechanika Vol 3.: The Lost Boys of West Abbey
Lady Mechanika's investigation into the murders of "undesirable" children in Mechanika City triggers an unexpected reaction from her subconscious self. But are they truly lost memories finally surfacing after so many years, or just simple nightmares? And what connection does the killer have to Lady Mechanika's past? Collects the complete third Lady Mechanika mini-series, The Lost Boys of West Abbey, including extra pages which were not published in the original comic books.
The adventure continues with Lady Mechanika Vol. 3: The Lost Boys of West Abbey. This edition was fun, creepy, and just a little bit sad.
It’s always fun when her sidekicks join in the investigation. Little Winifred and Mr. Lewis bring the fun factor to the party. Winifred’s rambunctiousness (I think she wants to be like Lady Mechanika) and Mr. Lewis brings the comic relief, in a world that is a little dark.
This story focused on the disappearances of orphaned boys. Let me just say the opening scene was heartbreaking. But cool at the same time. I’m always freaked out by talking/moving dolls and this took it to a whole new voodoo type level.
Lady Mechanika encounters and investigates the case with a very sexy inspector. I was hoping for a little romance because they had a teasing dialogue with each other. *sigh* Not this time I guess. But as with all Lady Mechanika there is always the hint that we will be seeing certain characters again.
The overall story was entertaining, was hoping for a longer edition. But really, I can’t complain. As always, the art is fantastic and I’m already impatient for the next installment. *greedy grabby hands*
(The sexy inspector is the dark broody one. LOL)
