Sunday Post #34: Ugh the Humidity…

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

I’m scrambling at writing this week’s Sunday Post. It’s 9pm on a Saturday and well, just ack. I’ve been decompressing by playing video games. I finally got my hand on Tales of Berseria; an action RPG and I  LOVE it.

Haven’t written reviews for games, I might try my hand if I feel inclined.

It’s yucky humid lately and partly because we were gearing up for rain. We got a lot today with thunder and downpours. The plants needed it. But sad to say that summer heat is creeping up.

On the reading front, I’m not doing so well. I’m kind of struggling with the book I’m currently reading. Not liking the heroine at all, trying to see if she redeems herself. *meh*

Nothing this week.

Loved the first book in the series. So excited to read this one.

Don’t you just love mailbox fairies? I love the summer weather, but will happily skip the humidity. I never was a gamer, but like to watch my son play, especially ones like Kingdom Hearts,

Ugh on the humidity and the heroine. Both drive me crazy. The humidity/rain has been in the works here, too. I feel like lecturing mother nature. lol Hope the heroine turned aroudn for ya.

So hard to connect with a story when you don’t particularly like a main character. I hope that improves for you.
It was super muggy here yesterday – and then the rain came. We need it so badly, though so I was happy with it. Good reading weather. 🙂

Ah yes, I’ve been playing lots of Sims to relax and de-stress, so I know the feeling lol. But ooh, Dark Lord of the Night looks interesting! Is that a vampire by any chance? I see blood on his chin lol.

I love video games but I’m so behind on what’s hot and what’s out. Although I did just see a gameplay trailer for Rime and that looks good- it’s coming out this year and I love the fantastical art style. I do like to read video game reviews especially when book bloggers write them, it’s fun to see what other bloggers are playing.

It’s been storming a lot here too. And Dark Lord of the Night looks pretty good!

Sometimes I have fun even when I hate the characters. I like to pick them apart. LOL Your weather sounds just like mine. Hot and humid and then rain all weekend. At least we have our books!

We had some hot days but it cooled down over the weekend. Sorry you aren’t feeling your book. Hope it gets better!! Have a great week!

It is hard to keep reading a book when I hate the character(s). Usually I’m okay if it’s just one annoying/unlikable character, but the MC has to be someone I am rooting for.

Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

I struggled with a book last week so finally I just put it down. I just did not like the plot. I hope that you have a better reading week ahead!
