Comparing Covers #17: Cinder by Marissa Meyer

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Welcome to Comparing Covers where I will showcase a book title that has multiple covers; from first editions, re-releases, and international releases.

I’m always up for a fairy-tale retelling. I’ve seen Cinder all over the place and I finally gave in to the urge and bought it last week. Not only is the premise interesting, but the cover is awesome. Of course, that had me thinking if there were other versions and I was not disappointed.

Picking a favorite on this one is a little hard, but I’m going to stick with the version that held my interest in the first place. It’s the one that is used for the US edition.

Which cover did you vote for and why?

First of all, what a beautiful blog you have! Second, my daughter has the US version of this book but hasn’t read it yet. I voted for the Czech version of the cover as my favorite. It’s absolutely amazing. Hope you enjoy reading it, no matter what cover you have. #GetSocial2017

I haven’t read this but I voted for the US cover. I liked that one best. It’s the re-releases with different covers that sometimes gets me. I sometimes forget I already read it.

I’ve never read this story but I’d like too. I also voted for the US version and I find that one catches your eye and keeps you wondering about the story.
Nice to meet you. I’m stopping by for #GetSocial17

Oh wow! I don’t think I’ve seen any but the US version. The French one is AMAZING! I so want that one πŸ˜€

I think I’m in the minority but I’ve never been fond of that American cover? I actually voted for the Czech cover, but I like the Thai one too.

I love the US version. My 2nd favourite is the Thai version. Never knew there were so many versions. Thanks for sharing.

Wow…how cool to see all those versions…I lik the Thai one!

Oh, good installment of this feature!

I went back forth between the Thai and French. The American cover is one of my least favorites this go round.

They’re all interesting in their own way but the US version has the most visual impact and fits the story best IMO.

i do like the Spanish one as well.

My favorite is the US one. But I kind of like the Spanish and Thai ones too.

Oh this is a good one to compare!! I like the US version – but the Thai and Spanish versions aren’t bad. That Swedish version creeps me out!!

Sunny Buzzy Books

I like the Thai one. #getsocial17
