Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Sorry for the radio silence last weekend, I could practically hear the crickets chirping on my blog. I was super busy last week; I had a work trip and semi vacation in Dallas and got home on Saturday. Suffice it to say that I did not feel like writing a blog post.
I received a top 100 blog award from Feedspot. Probably not such a huge deal, but I’m still pretty stoked about it. 😀
Tuesday was my birthday and I got some awesome goodies that I’ll share below. Today is my unbirthday, but alas no one seems to care about that. LOL.
The good things about trips is that I can get a lot of reading done. But, I still have a lot of deadlines this month. I’m seriously re-thinking my strategy/policy on how many ARCs to accept.
I don’t read a ton of Historical Fiction, but when I do it’s a treat. I’m loving this one.
I would end up with bloody stumps as hands if I attempted this on my kitties. LOL.

Happy birthday! And a very merry unbirthday to you!
And congrats on the blog award!!! Sounds like you had a pretty darn good week!
Thanks! 🙂 It was a great week.
Happy (belated) birthday! Hope it was a good one. Love that Sarah Andersen book. So, so funny. 🙂
Thank you! I love her comics and had to have her book. 😀
Happy birthday!!! Wish you all the best. I hope this month is a great one for you. Enjoy your books and have a wonderful week.
Thank you!
Happy Birthday!! I always blog ahead so when I am not around I fee super guilty for not commenting and visiting. My Dad’s cat bit him once really bad when he attempted to bath him. He ended up in the hospital!
Thanks Kimba!
I’m a procrastiblogger. Is that a word? Can it be one now? LOL
My husband got scratched by ours and had to go to the Doctor. But ending up in the hospital sounds more serious, glad it turned out okay.
Happy belated birthday! And a very, merry unbirthday too! Had to smile at your remark about rethinking your startegy on how many ARCs to accept as I rethink mine constantly, but can’t seem to resist accepting more.
Can’t get over how calm that kitten was in the bath! Mine would have fought tooth and nail to get away! Maybe they gave him Kitty Xanax first? lol
Thank you Terri!
I’m being swallowed by ARCs and there are still books out there that I can’t resist! I. NEED. TO. STOP.
Kitty Xanax, where I can I get some for mine? LOL
Happy Birthday/Unbirthday! Congratulations on the Feedspot award too! That’s pretty cool 🙂 Have a great week and happy reading
Thanks Jo-Ann, you too!
Congrats on the blog award! And happy birthday! So true about that video- yikes. My cats would NOT cooperate lol.
Monstress and adulthood is a Myth look great.
Hope you have a great 4th!!
Thanks! Cats are awesome though.
I couldn’t resist putting Monstress on my wish list because of its Steampunk theme. 🙂
Happy belated birthday. Hope you had a little fun on your vacation/trip.
Thanks, I did! 🙂
If I heard crickets chirping on my blog, or anywhere else near me, I would have a freak-out! There was a cricket “avalanche” in my house a year or so ago that just about did me in….until the maintenance staff sprayed and got rid of them.
But if I hear crickets, even in the background on a TV movie, I do a little unhappy dance…LOL.
I’m curious about Blind Tribute…and the kitty video is cute.
Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
A cricket avalanche sounds like a scarring experience. LOL. They are a little creepy.
Blind Tribute is a American Civil War era Historical Fiction novel. The author is looking for reviewers and blogs who can spotlight her book. 🙂
Happy Birthday, or should I say Unbirthday! LOL A pretty haul there. And yes, my cat would tear me apart if I attempted to bathe her. LOL
My Sunday Post
Lol! I never knew there were cats this tolerant. 🙂 Thank you!
