This or That Tag

Book Tag

I saw this tag over at Rebel Mommy Book Blog and of course I just couldn’t resist. The tag was originally created by Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks.

Here are some bookish things about me that I would love to share with you, dear reader.

READING ON THE COUCH OR IN BED?

I’d rather read in bed. It’s a more cozy setting in my opinion and if you were to ask my cat Frida, she would tell you the same thing.

MALE MAIN CHARACTER OR FEMALE MAIN CHARACTER?

Female. Mainly because I don’t really have any opinions on male main characters.

SWEET SNACKS OR SALTY SNACKS WHILE READING?

Sweet! I like those Dove dark chocolate with almonds squares or chocolate covered almonds. Keyword: CHOCOLATE! lol

TRILOGIES OR QUARTETS?

I actually liked and read a quartet once. It was Nora Roberts’ Bride series. I loved it.

FIRST PERSON POV OR THIRD PERSON POV?

Third person POV for sure. It feels more like a story than a diary entry.

BOOKS THAT MAKE YOU LAUGH OR BOOKS THAT MAKE YOU CRY?

Books that me laugh. I do like a little emotion every now and then, but total angst and sadness? no way.

READING AT NIGHT OR IN THE MORNING?

At night. Coincides with my reading in bed ritual. πŸ™‚

LIBRARIES OR BOOKSTORES?

This one is tough for me. But I’m gonna go with libraries, just because it has a cozier atmosphere.

BLACK BOOK COVERS OR WHITE BOOK COVERS?

I don’t really have a preference for this. The books on my shelf are all colors.

CHARACTER-DRIVEN OR PLOT-DRIVEN STORIES?

Plot driven. I need a story, a purpose. Characters are important but I think a plot enhances any story.

Oooh, I am also a bed reader! I don’t typically do snacks when I read, though.

Great tag. Thanks for sharing! πŸ™‚

What a fun tag! I’ll have to do this one myself soon. We are so opposite on most of our answers. πŸ™‚ I can’t read in bed for the life of me. I have *never* been able to do that comfortably. And I’m so not a night person so reading in the morning or afternoon is always preferable. And I prefer 1st person POV… LOL You get the idea. Basically we’re total opposites. πŸ™‚

I generally prefer a third person POV as well, although I can live with first if I have to. And sometimes I even like the first- I guess it depends on the book. Same with plot vs character driven- I like character driven stories but I need a plot too.

We read the same. lol Just sub in a grey Gladys for your Frida (she’s adorable!) and that would be us. lol Best way to read πŸ™‚

I like reading in bed too but I don’t do it too often as I either fall asleep quickly after I get snuggled in (and lose reading time) or I stay up half the night reading!

I have such a hard time reading in bed. Mainly because I’m trying to read while laying down and my arms get tired. Plus, I’ve been known to accidentally drop my book/ereader on my face a time or two when laying in bed. LoL

I would rather laugh than cry too. Sad books just don’t do it for me most times. I like sweet snacks as well and I always read in the morning because I have a bad habit of not being able to put it down once I start.
