Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

August is here and the heat is still on. Kinda grateful that it’s not too humid outside. But it’s still early times.
The week went by really quick, in fact, I didn’t even know it was Friday the other day. I had one sleepless night where I woke up at 3am and couldn’t go back to sleep. Solution? reading of course. I finished off Map of the Heart by Susan Wiggs that night. But boy did the day drag after that. Thank goodness for coffee.
I had a great book week. And I kinda of accepted a few review requests. Even with that though, I’m still doing pretty good and selecting the ones I really want to read. September is sort of open for me to read what I want in terms of my TBR list. It’s an ongoing goal of mine to get that to dwindle a little bit.
I always enjoy reading Jamie Beck’s stories. Excited about this new series.
I haven’t done this one in awhile, well…because of the obvious reasons. I treated myself to books 1 and 2 of the Shinobi series by Susan Spann. (Also, you can see my bullet journal spread in the background 😉 )
The publisher reached out to me to see if I wanted to read The Woman in the Camphor Trunk and The Secret Life of Anna Blanc. It sounded good to me so of course I said yes. 🙂 Colorless looked interesting too (The same author of Ensared) and I got that one from NetGalley.

I love how you “kinda” accepted some more books for review. LOL It’s so hard to resist, isn’t it?
Sleepless nights are the worst. I try *not* to read because then I’ll just get interested and want to stay up reading, but it always seems to be what I turn to.
Colorless has a beautiful cover.
LOL, very hard!
I just knew I wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep. It doesn’t happen often, thank goodness.
That sounds like the perfect solution to a sleepless night. And awesome on September and having some flexibility. That’s always nice 🙂
Yes, flexibility goals are a must. 🙂
OMG! I LOVE your bullet journal!!! 🙂
Check out my Sunday Post at El’s Book Reviews!
Hope you have a great day!

LOL thanks! 🙂
Wow. You did have a great book week. Some of those covers are excellent too. Been hot and steamy here. And I also woke up in the middle of the night this week. Grabbed a book, of course. LOL
My Sunday News
Yes, it was an exciting book week. 🙂
The covers on your arcs are gorgeous no wonder you accepted. I am curious about them all. Hope this week is a good one and yes reading or listening to audio is perfect on a sleepless night.
I can’t resist pretty looking books. Good thing the sound good too. LOL.
Glad it was a great book week. 🙂 And while it’s been warm here, I can’t complain too much since it’s not as bad as August normally is (at least, not yet) and Friday it got downright cold! Kinda weird.
Love that cover of The Secret Life of anna Blanc.
I can go for cold, I don’t mind. LOL That is weird for this time of year.
Enjoy the books. It’s been hot and humid here. I think I like the dry heat much more
I jinxed myself, today was HOT! LOL
I am always in awe of you bullet journal-ers! So creative and pretty. I just don’t have that kind of skill 🙂 Have a great week!
I thought I didn’t either, but you can get ideas by looking at other bullet journalers. 🙂
I read at night if I can’t sleep either, it’s better than turning on the tv and waking my husband up. Plus its reading! Colorness has a beautiful cover, I need to check it out. I hope you enjoy all the new books.
Happy reading. Jenea’s Book Obsession’s Sunday Post
Yes, thank goodness for Kindles. 🙂
Another bullet journaller! Yours is fancier than mine; I’m still figuring out how to get more creative with it.
Sleepless nights… oh, how I relate. Reading is my solution, too. Thank goodness for my Kindle; I don’t even have to turn on a light. How did you enjoy Map of the Heart? I started it months and months ago. I should finish it, but it wasn’t grabbing me at the time. That was probably me rather than the book; I was sick and having a hard time concentrating. So it’s past time I tried it again.
Have a great week and enjoy your new arrivals!
I just started it. You can find a lot of ideas around the web. 🙂 I’m actually thinking of writing some posts about it.
Map of the Heart was good, even though I didn’t connect with the heroine too much. It gets better halfway through the story.
Thank you!
I hope you enjoy your new books from publishers. With me, it can be hit or miss.
I’ve just returned from a road trip:

Thanks! I agree, sometimes they can be hit or miss, but there’s no harm in trying, right? 😉
I am beginning to wonder if coffee is really a placebo-ish thing. My solution to sleeplessness is netflix.
How is everything else?
Coffee doesn’t really affect me that much anymore. I can drink at night and not have it cause me loss of sleep. But for some reason it does perk me up in the morning. LOL.
Everything else is fine, thanks Siran. 🙂
