Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Okay, so I missed last week. I wasn’t feeling it, in fact I’ve been having some pretty busy days lately. Which is good, but it’s stressing me out. There is a lot on my plate and something that I have been keeping from you all. We are building a house. 🙂 Shocking? Maybe not the juiciest bit of gossip but I wanted to keep it on the down low until it was at the point where we start to actually do something. Let me just say that it’s not easy. I don’t know how the designers on HGTV do it.
This week we picked out shingles, cabinets and kitchen granite. The picture below was taken a couple of weeks ago, we’re a little bit more progressed right now. But still no siding or brick installed. Pretty exciting though.
In other news, I’m so behind on reviews. There are 4 that I need to write and I’m lagging. What with work, the house, and everything, when I do get the time I just want to relax. I did pick up some new audio books that I’m excited about.
I also had some technical difficulties with my blog a couple of days ago. My site went down. I couldn’t access the admin side or the homepage. Thankfully, the company that hosts my site (Siteground) is really great. I just love their customer service. They don’t condescend and they reply super quick. You don’t have to call, which I love, just submit a ticket. Turns out that a plugin (Shareaholic) caused the problem. Suffice it to say, I’m not using that plugin anymore. They got my site up and running the same day I had the problem.
I might have to stop this one for now, because I have an unexpected deadline for another book. But I’m enjoying this one so far.
I went audiobook crazy! I got my 1 credit in and there was a sale going on, so I scooped these up! Currently listening to A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn.

Wow, you are getting a lot done. I love audio books and listen to them while doing housework etc.
Building a house! That is crazy! Hard work and a lot of choices 🙂 I hope it’s going well. Looks like you got a lot of nice books too 🙂 have a great week!
A lot of choices is right!
Thanks, you too. 🙂
oh wow a house! no wonder you would be so totally stressed out, a lot of work 🙁
A TON of work.
Congrats on the house. Seeing the picture makes me so anxious. I don’t know how you seem so cool over it. LoL
My site went down for about an hour this past weekend, too. Not sure what the issue was. It was later in the night and I really wasn’t feeling up to troubleshooting or contacting anybody about it. Thankfully the problem resolved itself and I was back online.
LOL on making you anxious. That’s totally how I feel.
However, blog issues make me more anxious. 🙂
Congrats on building a house! I couldn’t even imagine all of the decisions you are having to make. Lots of great audios this week. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!
Thanks! Decisions, decisions, everywhere. LOL.
How exciting with the new house! I bet you’re super busy. I love Siteground too. They are always really helpful. ENjoy your new books and have a great week!
Big congrats on the new home construction! That’s seriously exciting! Hopefully now that the cat is out of the bag you’ll share some more updates along the way. 🙂 Good luck getting caught up with the review. I actually wrote 3 last week which is a lot for me. They’ll be posted over the next week or so and it feels great to have them done. Ugh, I hate having to set aside a book I’m enjoying. Hope you get to pick it back up soon!
Thanks Tanya! I will definitely post updates if I have any. 🙂
oh I know how stressful it is about building a home!! So many decisions. Growing up my dad was always doing additions on the house or repairs or changing things around. And boy it can be stressful at times. Hope it goes smoothly for you!!
Thanks! I never thought of how many decisions there are to make!
Congrats on building! A lot of work but will be so nice when you’re done! Glad to hear your blog problem wasn’t too serious.
Have a great reading week!
Thanks! Kinda want it all magically done LOL.
Congrats on your home! Completely understandable why reviews are taking a backseat, enjoy your guys’ time getting it built
Thank you.
I watch way too much HGTV but still, I couldn’t image actually building a house! The shows always make it look so easy– or at the very least, manageable. I hope things go well!
It really is not as easy as it looks, but I got a lot of good ideas from watching them. 🙂
Oh building a house is amazing!!! I’m so jealous! Enjoy your books. Glad you are liking Eternal so far-its coming up on my TBR!
I’ll be glad when it’s all over LOL.
I know the feeling of just wanting to relax when you get the chance! I’ve got the Ilona Andrews book and A Curious Beginning on my TBR list. It sounds like you will have lots of good listening ahead of you. Enjoy and have a great week!
Thanks Samantha. Audiobooks are what I need right about now. 🙂
Congrats on building a house! It’s so exciting to watch it all come together. Enjoy your new books. 🙂
Thank you for stopping by earlier.
Thanks Jenea!
I had to chuckle when I saw the title of your post. I’ve said that so many times myself! But in your case, it’s really true. Building a house is not for the faint of heart, and it takes a lot of time and effort. (Or so I’ve heard. I’ve never built a house.) Anyway, congratulations! May all your contractors finish on time and may all your home wishes come true.
PS. I picked up About That Kiss this week, too.
Hehe! Busy is an understatement really. Thanks Lark, I hope so too.
Congratulations on building your house!!!
Thank you! I’m really excited. 🙂
