Sunday Post #50: Yay for Apple Cider

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Hope everyone had a good week. What with all the bad news lately I just haven’t been feeling myself.

It’s officially Fall for me when grocery stores start carrying apple cider. I don’t know why I get so excited about it, must be some nostalgia factor that goes back to grade school and visiting apple orchards. All I need are some donuts….mmmm….

The building of the house is progressing. There was a slight hiccough with the brick and siding, we’ll have to wait at least 3 weeks for that to be installed. Other than that, we were told that in terms of us picking stuff out, we’re ahead of schedule. I’ll be sure to take pics when something exciting happens. 🙂

I was able to write 5 reviews that were back logged, so I feel great about that. Now all I have to do is create the posts for them. I’ve been breezing through audiobooks and love that I can listen while I work. I bought myself some Bluetooth headphones that were on a super sale on Amazon. I happened upon it by chance and just knew I needed to scoop them up. They’re not Bose, but they were rated pretty good.

In more WordPress woes, the website went down again last week, which was fixed quickly but it stresses me the heck out when it happens. Also, for the first time one of my scheduled posts didn’t post. Glad it wasn’t for a blog tour. *sigh*

Book 2 in the Cabot series. I’m liking this one more than the first.

All We Knew by Jamie Beck

I won second place prize in a contest and received a print of Once a Rancher by Linda Lael Miller. Can’t go wrong with cowboys. 🙂

Saw this while perusing the shelves at Target and I couldn’t resist.

I actually requested this on Netgalley several months ago and just got accepted. LOL.

I made plans to visit an apple orchard this past weekend and was unable to get there. Thanks for confirming that I missed out big time! ugh lol And congrats on winning “Once a Rancher”!

Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

I’m now craving apple cider so thank you for that. LOL
Getting caught up on reviews is such a great feeling. Good for you!
I’ve heard great things about The Night Circus and know at least one person who considers that their favorite book ever.
And I just saw a good review of Haunting the Deep a few days ago. Hope you’ll enjoy both of them!

I love me an apple cider donut – yum!! Yay for getting reviews done. I have a bunch I need to get to. The Night Circus was such a good book. Enjoy and have a great week!

I’m the same way with apple cider. Means fall is here, and it’s totally nostalgia- we used to get cider and donuts as a kid and now if it’s fall I want ’em lol.

Man I love that cover for Haunting the Deep.

Hmm…not sure how my comment didn’t post, but here it goes again. Haunting the Deep looks good. Great getting 5 reviews done. I’m trying real hard to catch up with all my ARCs. Happy reading! 🙂

I had blog issues this week too (not so much my blog but a plug in). I always panic because I have NO IDEA what to do! Hopefully everything goes smoothly with the house building.

Lover Of Romance

I am so sorry to hear that your having issues with your blog. It always freaks me out when my blog goes down and its always the server with the hosting. I am loving the apple cider too…its so yummy.

I hear people having problem with WordPress all the time. I think that’s why I’ve stuck with Blogger for so long.

Blogger confession! Do you know I have had Night Circus in hardcover since the day it released and have not read it? Yay for getting posts done! Did you install Ashley’s plugin? Sweet!

Jenea's Book Obsession

Sorry to about the hiccup with the house, but at least it isn’t going to put everything behind schedule. Congrats on the book win, mmmm, cowboys. Enjoy the the books and you upcoming weeks.

I love apple cider…and donuts. Haven’t had either for the longest time.

Kristen @ Metaphors and Moonlight

Wait, you’re having a house built?? Did I miss something in all the weeks I’ve been not Sunday posting, or did I just forget something? But yum, I haven’t had apple cider in a while. The way I know it’s fall is when the stores start selling cinnamon brooms lol. I still need to read the Night Circus!
