Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

As the title of my Sunday Post suggests, this year has been one of the worst for me. I try not to dwell on things such as this, but it’s one thing after another. My Father in Law is in the hospital with pneumonia, he’s in his 80s. On top of that he’s on dialysis and he’s just not feeling well. The doctors say he has some kind of secondary infection because his white blood cells are not going down with the antibiotic treatment. I’m just so worried for him. His health problems have been accumulating steadily throughout the years and it just seems like it’s getting worse. So with this going on, my heart has not been in the blogging mood. I feel so down that I haven’t even decorated for the holidays. And that’s a big deal for me.
I’ll try and cheer myself up, so I’m not completely forsaking my blog or not visiting you all. 🙂 I have bought myself some treats to help me get into the spirit of the holidays. I’ll share the first one with you below.
Interestingly, the author who wrote this series is directly descendant from one of the perpetrators in the Salem witchcraft trials and related to a family who survived the sinking of the Titanic, which plays a big part in her fictional story.
I had such fun with the Holiday box from last year from Ever After Box, that I decided to treat myself to one this year. This is my un-boxing of it, including the day 1 satchel. Each day you can open a satchel (it’s labeled to help you) and on the 25th you can unwrap an extra special gift. I’ll be sharing my gifts every day on Instagram.
I decided to get a head start on review copies for next year and I scooped up some interesting titles. Thanks to Edeleweiss and NetGalley.
