Sunday Post #75: Weekly Round Up

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Gosh, I’m so tired. Muscles achy, mood all over the place, and not really wanting to write this post, but doing it anyway. Yep, we’re still moving stuff. Part of the reason why it’s taking so long is because we have a ton of stuff. I might have never mentioned this to y’all but my husband and I run an at home business. We’re etailers so we kind of have a small warehouse. So all that involves dismantling shelves and what not. It’s daunting work and very exhausting. But I predict that we will be moved in the new house at least by the first week of February. We’ll probably still have some junk to get but the main move will be by then. *fingers crossed*.

Despite it all, I’ve kept up with my reading. I’m actually enjoying myself and just finished Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden, and I LOVED it. Stay tuned for the review sometime soon.

I’m pacing myself with ARCs and I’ve gotten into audiobooks again. Part of the fun part of packing is that I can plug in an audiobook and just listen away while I work.  I also have 2 audible credits burning a hole in my pocket. I love that we can get 2 free books a month as well. I found a really good one recently doing that and I’ll mention it below.

It’s an ARC, but since it’s been awhile since I read a contemporary romance, I’m enjoying it. I do like Donna Grant too, so that helps as well. 🙂

I’m a major fan of the Alien series so when I saw this free on Audible, I scooped it up. It takes place right after the first movie and before the second. Let me just say it’s an amazing book. The special effects and voice acting is awesome.

Sunday Post Headers Currently Playing

I went back to a classic and started playing Chono Trigger. An RPG made by the ones who do Final Fantasy. Surprisingly, I’ve never played this before and it has such a following. Personally, I prefer Final Fantasy and I’m not really getting into the storyline or characters with this one.

Well I’m glad the move will be wrapping up. I hope you got to organize a bit better now after the move. Awesome you can listen to audio while doing that work; I did that when I moved a few years back. I also LOVED The Winter of the Witch, the whole trilogy. Here’s to finishing up this week and having some great reads too!

Aj @ Read All The Things!

Sorry the move has been challenging. I’m glad I don’t own much stuff. Moving the books is hard, but everything else is okay. Have a great week!

Good luck with all the moving. That’s great you’ve been getting a lot of reading done. I hope to read a bit more this week, but we’ll see!

Oooh! I’ve been hearing lots of good things about Chrono Trigger! I need to play that game someday!

Oh my! Moving a business as well as your house sounds like a nightmare! I wish you lots of luck and I hope that when February rolls around you get to take a break, even if it’s a few days. I’ve no idea how you’re managing to keep up with the reading with all that going on so kudos!

Moving is bad enough. I can’t imagine the extra stress of having to move a business as well! It makes me tired just thinking about it. I’ve been getting a lot of use out of Audible lately. I’m hoping it’ll get my reading count up a little. Have a great week!

Moving a business as well as a homes does sound like an incredible amount of work. I hope at least you’ve been able to shut down sales for a while to get everything transported?

Moving can be such a pain. Hopefully you’ll be all done soon.

Ugh moving sounds like so much work. Good luck! I love that Audible has the free books too. Have a great week!

Good luck with the unpacking! I imagine that is a ton of work. At least you’re having some audio fun to help. 🙂

Chrono Trigger is new to me, I always like a good RPG. Sorry t hear it’s not quite grabbing you though…
