Sunday Post #78: Where Did the Week Go?

by Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Welcome back to the Sunday Post! Sit back, kick up your feet, and relax!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Have you ever had a week where every day is either an appointment or running around doing errands? Well, I had one of those. I really didn’t get any real work done and I hate that feeling. On the bright side, we finally closed on the house yesterday and it’s officially official. 🙂

Spring forward is already kicking my butt. I hate this time of year. The countdown to Spring back has begun. LOL. Despite running around, I did get some reading done and I was also able to get rid of all those books I no longer wanted. I sold some to Half Price Books and the employee there said that she’s never seen used books in such great condition. So yay me!  I still have one bookcase dedicated to my physical TBR books. But if it’s one thing I’ve learned from this move is that I don’t have to keep books that I don’t really want.

I was really bummed to hear about Luke Perry’s untimely death. I grew up watching 90210 and I loved him in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie. I was also going to start watching Riverdale, so that’s going to be tough.

I bought one physical book and took advantage of the 2 for 1 deal at Audible.

As someone who needs to plan ahead before leaving my home I feel you on the appointments every day. I try to make them all happen on the same day or else I get anxious. I hope this week was a more productive week!

I loved Luke Perry in Riverdale. I’m gutted. It won’t be quite the same.

Congrats on the house being officially official!

Sorry it was a bit of a busy – and not in a fun way – week. Those are never fun. I didn’t feel well most of last week so that was a bummer. Hopefully this week will go better!!

Congratulations on closing on the house!! That is so awesome! I was really sad about Luke Perry’s death. I use to watch 90210 with my mom, I had no idea what the show was really about because I was so young but I remember thinking Dylan was so gorgeous. Right now, it is 5 pm and I am ready to go to bed lol I hate this spring forward but that means that the weather will finally calm down and I’ll be able to wear shorts again.

I hope you have a wonderful week.

I always hate it when we have daylight savings time. It throws everything off for me. I’m sad to hear about Luke Perry’s passing. May he rest in peace.

Yay for the house. Well hopefully the errands are handled and this week can focus on some other things. I packed some things up and hope to get them donated this week. Have a great week with some fun reading!

I was sad to hear about Luke Perry as well. It seems especially strange because I think of him as being roughly my age (apparently he’s older than I realized … I forgot that they have actors play high schoolers when they’re in their twenties. But, still he’s close enough). So many people have been writing tributes to him—it’s nice to see that people seem to genuinely love and respect him.

I don’t like such weeks either. Why would they fly off so fast and when I look back there would not be anything memorable. Yay for the house!

Luke Perry was so young! Its so terrible.

I was shocked when I read that Luke Perry passed away. I loved him on 90210.

I had a week like that and I’m not a fan. I’ve made up for it a little by leaving the house as little as possible this weekend. I was so sad to hear about Luke Perry. It’s so hard to believe. I hope you have a great week!

Laurel-Rain Snow

Oh, yes, weeks with errands and appointments are the worst! I try to arrange appointments so I don’t have a cluster of them…but sometimes, we have no control. Sigh.

Yes, so sad about Luke Perry.

Enjoy your books…Murder Lo Mein looks tempting.

I am also trying to clear some space on my bookshelves this year. Good you have some place to sell them! I do not unfortunately, so I just donate books to the library.

Oh yeah, I totally know what kind of week you mean. But congrats on the house!

Stoneheart looks so good! Happy reading! 🙂

Where DID the week go? I’m wondering that too! Congrats on the closing though! That’s awesome. 🙂

Love that cut scene!
